How to book a ticket for your pet?
Booking a ticket for your pet is a simple and easy process. According to the current legislative framework (article 18 § 7 of Law 4830/2021 / Greek Government Gazette Vol. A’ 169/18.09.2021), if you are traveling with a pet, therapy, or service animal, it is mandatory to declare it at the time of booking or ticket issuance so it can be recorded in the electronic reservation system.Onboard ticketing is not allowed. Each passenger can travel with up to five pets, provided they are owned, adequately vaccinated, and each has its own health passport. All pets must be accompanied.
What is the cost of transporting pets?
Transporting your pets with SEAJETS is completely free of charge, with no additional fare. We are proud to offer this service, ensuring that your beloved animals can travel with you at no extra cost.
The information you need to provide
To register your pets, it is mandatory to include them on your ticket, which must contain the following information:
- – Animal Health Passport Number or Passport Number
- – Animal identification number (microchip)
- – Animal Category (e.g., Pet, Therapy, Service)
- – Animal Size (Large > 10 kg or Small ≤ 10 kg)
In addition, you should always carry your pet’s updated health passport and be responsible for their care, safety, and hygiene during the journey.

On all our vessels, your four-legged companions can enjoy specially designed areas that provide a journey free from pressure, fatigue, and stress. Also, on our conventional ships, we offer special PET cabins that allow you to stay with your pets in an environment that feels like home. All areas are cleaned regularly and maintained to high hygiene standards to ensure the best possible experience for all passengers. For everyone’s safety, pets are only permitted to stay in specially designed PET cabins and designated outdoor areas on board.
Where Pets Can Stay During the Trip?
- – Pets can stay on deck as long as they are in a transport basket and accompanied by a mandatory muzzle and leash.
- – Pets weighing up to 10 kg must be transported in a transport carrier or cage and remain in it, in the same area as their owner.
- – Pets over 10 kg are required to use the special cages available on our vessels.
- – In cabins where pets are allowed on all the vessels that have one (Pet Cabins).
- –Service dogs and therapy animals can enter the interior spaces of the vessel with the people they accompany. The person traveling with the animal is required to present the necessary certificates to authorities, proving that the animal is an assistance dog or a therapy animal.
