At the meeting held on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Santorini, under the leadership of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and attended by state and local representatives, the issue of increased seismic activity in the region was discussed. During the meeting, Mr. Marios Iliopoulos, Head of Strategic Planning and Development at SEAJETS, announced that the group will cover the housing expenses for Santorini’s medical personnel during this critical period, as well as for the rest of the year.

SEAJETS, staying true to its values and principles throughout its decades of operation, actively supports the islands, the local community, and their visitors.

Mr. Iliopoulos stated: “Support has always been mutual over the years. Through shared effort, we have grown, evolved, and distinguished ourselves. My love for our country, and especially for Santorini, has brought me to this meeting today. Being present in difficult times and in matters concerning contributions to our homeland, as well as my belief in uniting all forces for the common good, guide my life. We feel proud of our country and our islands, which are a global paradise, and our support will always be tangible.”

The day after, the South Aegean Region expressed its gratitude to the SEAJETS and Mr. Marios Iliopoulos for the initiative to cover the housing expenses of the medical personnel of the Santorini Hospital.

The Governor of the South Aegean, Giorgos Hatzimarkos, praised the initiative, emphasizing that the Greek business community has always supported Greece. He also emphasized that the housing of doctors is a chronic problem for the island, which despite the efforts of the state, has no easy solutions.

The Region warmly thanked the SeaJets Group and Mr. Iliopoulos for their significant contribution to public health.
